FAQ
Got questions?
Do I need to log into Instagram to use Secret Followers?+
No. Just type in any public username and we do the rest. There's no Instagram login, password, or app permission required, so nothing to connect or authorize.
Will the Instagram account I search know that I checked their followers?+
No, checking someone's followers is completely anonymous. We only read data Instagram already makes public, with no profile visits, likes, or follow requests. The account you search has no way of knowing.
Can Secret Followers track private Instagram accounts?+
No, only public accounts are supported, by design. Private accounts are protected by Instagram and stay out of reach for any outside tool. If a tracked account goes private, tracking simply pauses until it's public again.
How often does Secret Followers update follower and following data?+
Free searches pull live data the moment you search. For saved accounts, paid tracking automatically re-checks several times a day and logs every new follower or unfollow as an event on your dashboard.
Can I see who someone recently followed on Instagram?+
Yes — drop their username above and we'll show you a preview of their most recent follows, newest first. No login, no notification sent to them.
How many Instagram accounts can I track at the same time?+
A Secret Followers subscription, weekly or monthly, lets you track up to 3 accounts at once. Each one gets its own activity timeline and notification settings on your dashboard.
Is it safe to use an Instagram followers tracker like Secret Followers?+
Yes. We never log into your account, ask for your password, or perform actions like following or liking. Since nothing is installed and no credentials are shared, there's no risk to your Instagram account.
Can Secret Followers track large Instagram accounts?+
Yes, tracking keeps working on large accounts — but for the followers side, we can't guarantee accuracy past about 10,000 followers: at that scale, some accounts may not have their follower activity tracked at all. Following tracking isn't affected by account size: Instagram itself limits how many accounts anyone can follow to around 7,500, so who an account follows continues to be tracked reliably no matter what.
